It's an hour or so before polls close in the recall vote in California, which has apparently triggered a renewed interest in politics on the part of people who don't ordinarily participate.

One possible outcome which doesn't seem to be covered much in the media is that the recall itself fails, but that a candidate in favour of the recall, such as Schwarzenegger, gets more than 50% of the vote. (Obviously Cruz Bustamante polling a plurality or majority in such circumstances would be unremarkable).
